Prawn Curry

Prawn Curry(Chingudi Jhula)

Ingredients:

  1. Oil as required
  2. 250 grams prawn(cleaned)
  3. 1 medium sized potato(boiled)
  4. 3 medium sized onions(finly chopped)
  5. 2 green chilies(chopped in two pieces)
  6. 1 Tomato(chopped)
  7. Chopped Coriander leaves
  8. 2 spoon of ginger garlic paste
  9. two pinch of cinnamon and cardamom powder
  10. Garam Masala
  11. Red chilly powder
  12. Turmeric powder
  13. Salt

Preparation Method:

Marinate prawns with turmeric powder and salt. Fry it till golden brown and keep it aside.

In a kadai, add 2 spoon of oil. Put the onions and green chilies. When the onion turn brown Add the ginger garlic paste. Now add tomato, salt, turmeric powder, red chilly powder and garam masala as per taste and fry it well. You can now add fried prawn and boiled potato and stir for minute. Add 2 cups of water and heat on high flame for 5-7 minutes. Keep it out of flame and add the cinnamon & cinnamon powder in it. Decorate with coriander leaves and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

Pumpkin seeds (raw, unhulled) : 1 ¼ cups
Plum tomatoes : 2
Chilly pepper : 1
Coriander leaves (chopped)
Chives (chopped)
Salt (as needed)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add pumpkin seeds, and cook, swirling pan often, until lightly toasted, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a mixture grinder, and process until smooth, about 45 seconds; set aside.

2. Return frying pan to heat and add Plum tomatoes and chili pepper; cook, turning as needed, until charred all over, about 5 minutes for the chilly pepper, 7 minutes for the tomatoes. Transfer to mixture grinder with pumpkin seeds along with coriander leaves, chives, and salt, and grind until smooth. Transfer to a bowl.

Now it can be served with salad, chips, boiled eggs in Mexican style or if you are an Indian, you know the better combination.
